Job Summary:
As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in identifying potential clients, promoting loan products, and supporting the sales team to meet business targets. You will assist in customer acquisition, loan application processes, and maintain client relationships in line with the company’s credit policies and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in implementing sales strategies to achieve individual and team targets.
- Identify and approach potential clients for micro-loan products through field visits, referrals, or cold calls.
- Actively acquiring new customers across retail, corporate, and SME segments.
- Promoting and selling financial products tailored to clients’ specific funding needs, including POF, Cars for Cash, Salary Advances, and SME Loans.
- Identify potential partners for Employee Group Loan and Salary Advance programs.
- Educate clients on loan offerings, terms, application requirements, and repayment obligations.
- Assist in the collection and verification of client documentation for loan processing.
- Maintain regular follow-up with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Help resolve customer queries and guide clients through the lending process.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client feedback, and market trends.
- Collaborate with the credit and collections teams to ensure smooth disbursement and recovery of loans.
- Participate in market surveys and grassroots campaigns to promote loan products.
- Provide weekly activity reports to the Sales Specialist or Team Lead.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or an HND, preferably but not compulsory in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
- Minimum grade 2:1 or Upper Credit
- 0- 2 years proven experience in financial services sales, preferably in microfinance, consumer lending, or retail banking.
- Familiarity with micro lending products.
- Strong knowledge of POF services, micro lending, salary-backed lending, SME financing, and short-term personal loans.
- Ability to navigate and sell within corporate organizations, SME markets, and informal sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed aggressive sales targets.
